NORMAL – Police have captured a man from Normal suspected of exposing himself to female victims on the Constitution Trail and other locations in Normal.
Normal Police said on their Facebook Page that they arrested Bobby Williams, 26, on Friday after he was alleged to have made contact with a female in the 100 block of Shelbourne Drive. Police said Williams fled the scene, but police pursued him and took him into custody in an apartment building in the 1000 block of Sheryl Lane.
Police said they are investigating Williams for multiple incidents in which a man committed an act of sexual conduct and exposed himself to adult and juvenile victims in the area of North School Street, Shelbourne Drive, Sheryl Lane, and the Constitution Trail.
On social media, police say they’ve received similar reports the past three weeks. They’re asking anyone with information, or victims who may not have reported the crimes to contact Normal Police Detective Jacob Zabukovec at (309) 454-9726 or at [email protected].
McLean County Crime Stoppers is accepting tips from people who wish to remain anonymous. The phone number for Crime Stoppers is 309-828-1111.
Williams is being held for public indecency and lewd exposure, which is a felony, but he has yet to be formally charged by the McLean County State’s Attorney’s office.
