
Benjamin Adams
BLOOMINGTON – Benjamin T. Adams, 34, of Bloomington, a maverick, artist, cook extraordinaire, lover of all things lime green (including his Honda Element) passed away at 11:14 a.m., June 9, 2018, at BroMenn Advocate Medical Center.
Cremation has been accorded.
A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 16, 2018, at the Chenoa Baptist Church. Pastor Jeffery Williams will be officiating.
Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa, is in charge of arrangements.
Ben was born May 15, 1984, in Macomb, the son of Lawrence and Deborah Hoover Adams, during a thunderstorm. He exited this world with storms brewing.
He married Jessica Kemp on October 10, 2008. She survives.
Also surviving are his daughter, Hayley K. Dralle; mother Deborah (Jim) Prodehl of Bloomington; father, Larry (LeAnn) Adams of Spokane, Wash.; brother, Brett (Angie) Powell of Clubb, Mo.; step-sisters, Jeanne Wenrick of Tucson, Ariz., Kimberly James of Hayden, Id., and Pamela Wenrick of Spokane, Wash.; and a very special uncle, Dr. Sean Adams of Naperville, whom helped Ben navigate his illness. Ben was blessed with so many good cousins.
Ben was passionate about animals, especially his beloved cat, Mr. Kitty.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bill and Kay Hoover and Dr. Lyle and Margaret Adams.
Ben was a non-conformist who had little interest in worldly goods. He struggled to maintain the average ‘norm’ in the workplace and would much rather be gardening, playing his drums, or cooking.
He was a gentle spirit with beautiful blue eyes.

Paul Ferguson
COLFAX – Paul Ferguson, 91, of Colfax, passed away at 3:30 a.m., June 11, 2018, at his residence.
His funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 16, 2018, at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Colfax. Pastor Patti Meyer will be officiating.
Burial will be in Wiley Cemetery, Colfax, where military honors will be performed by the American Legion.
Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, June 15, 2018, and one hour prior to services on Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Davis-Kerber American Legion Post, Colfax.
Paul was born May 24, 1927, in Colfax, the son of Buford and Quintella Kaingery Ferguson.
He married Charlotte Mire on November 17, 1954, in Colfax. She passed away on February 21, 2012.
Surviving are his great-nephew, Cameron Cobb of Charlotte, N.C.; great-great-nephew, Austin Cobb; niece, Christine Cobb of New Castle, Pa.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and two nephews, Terry and Thom Cobb.
Paul was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Davis-Kerber American Legion Post, Colfax, VFW, Fairbury and the Am Vets, Fairbury 40 & 8.
He worked as a cheese maker for Zivney Cheese in Minonk for 40 years.
