Peoria man killed in pedestrian-vehicle accident

PEORIA – A Peoria man was struck and killed by a car in Peoria last night.

In a news release, Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood said Francisco Jaral, 42, was hit by a car around 9 p.m. in the 600 block of NE Adams St. Peoria Police, the Peoria Fire Department, and an ambulance were called to the scene. Jaral was taken to OSF Saint Francis Medical Center and was pronounced dead around 9:45.

The name and details of the driver are also not known at this time.

The Peoria County Coroner’s Office and the Peoria Police Department are investigating. This is Peoria’s third pedestrian death in just one week.
