NORMAL – A Normal Township trustee has resigned after nearly a year in the position.
Normal Township Supervisor Sarah Grammer says Sam Quigle has resigned effective immediately as she pursues a job opportunity out of state. Quigle was elected to the township board last April. Grammer credits Quigle with using her fitness background to help shape new policies at the township’s Activity and Recreation Center.
Grammer invites anyone interested in filling the vacancy to submit a letter of interest to the Normal Township office at 304 East Mulberry Street or through email at [email protected] by April 9th. Qualified candidates must have resided in the township for at least one year, be a registered voter and be a Democrat, the same as Quigle.
The position could be filled as soon as the next regular board meeting on April 19th.
