LIVINGSTON COUNTY – The Livingston County Coroner’s office said it will reveal the identities of two people killed in a Dwight house fire on Thursday.   .

The fire at 110 S. Union St. in Dwight was reported about 12:30 Wednesday morning, and the fire department said the blaze had spread to both floors of the multi-family home.

Firefighters said they found the bodies of two men on the first floor. The department said smoke alarms alerted people on the upper floor, and they were able to escape.

It took firefighters about 45 minutes to put out the flames. The Dwight Fire Department said it was aided by firefighters from 10 area departments.

The state fire marshal, Dwight Police, and the coroner’s office are investigating.

Illinois poet Vachel Lindsay…

African-Americans have been killed too many times in the past before George Floyd, but the response to this man’s death is international and all-encompassing. I was a grade-schooler during the Civil Rights 1960s. I watched Birmingham demonstrators hosed and the Selma – Montgomery…

Workers’ Memorial Day – Remember those whose job took their life

COVID-19 has made us more aware of the risk.  Going to work every day for some people means…
