Man from Normal faces child pornography charges

BLOOMINGTON – A man from Normal faces a $1 million bond following a weekend court appearance on charges he reproduced child pornography.

Papy Maniwa, 41, faces four Class X felony counts. According to McLean County court records, the distribution of several pornographic videos were tied to his internet address and residence on North School Street last week.

The pornography allegedly involved children younger than 13.

Maniwa is scheduled to return to court on April 6 for an arraignment.
