BLOOMINGTON – Bloomington Police say they arrested a man for allegedly making methamphetamines in a west side motel room.
A judge on Friday set bond at $150,000 for Jacob Laws, 31, who faces six counts of manufacturing the drug.
Police say they found Laws in possession of drug paraphernalia in the 400 block of Brock Dr.
The investigation led to a search of Laws’ motel room where authorities reportedly found methamphetamines with an estimated street value of $12,800, and items used to produce the drug.
The Illinois State Police Methamphetamine Response Team aided Bloomington Police in the investigation.
If Laws is able to post the $15,035 he needs to be released from jail, he’ll have to prove the money did not come from drug trafficking or other illegal means.
