MCLEAN COUNTY – A fire destroyed a rural home northeast of Heyworth.
The call came in about 9:20 Tuesday night. Authorities say no one was home at the time.
Firefighters from four departments battled the flames and single-digit temperatures. No one was hurt.
A team of McLean County fire investigators was looking into the cause.
A spokesperson for the Randolph Township Fire Protection District said firefighters from Downs, Bloomington Township, and Dale Township provided mutual aid.
