Bloomington man charged with sexual assault and abuse of minor

BLOOMINGTON – A nearly two-month-long investigation has led to sexual assault and abuse charges against a Bloomington man.

Bloomington police say they arrested 53-year-old Andre Banks on Tuesday on multiple counts of predatory criminal sexual assault of a victim under age 13 and criminal sexual abuse of a victim under 13.

Banks was taken to the McLean County Jail.

Police say the investigation continues with the possibility of more victims. Investigators ask anyone with information to call Detective Mike Burns at 309-434-2457 or [email protected], or McLean County Crime Stoppers at 309-828-1111.
