BLOOMINGTON – The Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Campaign fell short of its $255,000 goal this year.
It’s the first time in several years the Salvation Army didn’t reach its goal. The kettles raised $214,282, which is about $40,000 short of the goal.
This year did see an increase in mail, online, and other donation methods, which brought in $218,950.
Combined, the kettles and other donation services raised $433,233. The total amount raised makes up nearly 84 percent of the overall campaign goal of $515,000.
