BLOOMINGTON – McLean County Sheriff’s Police are asking for the public’s help as they investigate a case of animal cruelty.
Police say someone discarded two dead dogs on the side of a rural road west of Bloomington at about 11 a.m. Thursday.
An image released by the sheriff’s department shows a dark-colored small SUV driving from the scene.
The unidentified dogs are described as a white male Chihuahua and a small white dog with light blonde shaggy hair, possibly a Shih Tzu mix.
Police said the dogs had recently died at the time they were dumped. Anyone with information is asked to contact McLean County Sheriff’s Deputy Jason Simmons or detective Morganne Trickett at (309) 434-6570.
