BPD investigating shots fired at Olive and Erickson Streets

BLOOMINGTON – Bloomington Police are investigating a report of gunshots that were heard Monday night near Olive and Erickson Streets.

Bloomington officers received the call of shots fired shortly after 9:40 p.m. A witness reported an older-model vehicle with large square taillights had pulled up near the intersection, when an unknown person got out of the passenger side – multiple gun shots were then heard. Following the shots, the vehicle was reportedly seen driving east on Olive Street.

In the surrounding area, officers found an unoccupied vehicle with bullet holes in the front windshield and roof. No injuries were reported and no arrests have been made.
