Bloomington police arrest two on cocaine charges

BLOOMINGTON – Bloomington police arrested two city residents on cocaine-related charges after a Wednesday search in the 200 block of S. Mason St.

Police arrested Lucas Neal, 33, and Nitasha Powell, 34, after the search. Both are charged with manufacture and delivery of cocaine as well as possession. Among the charges are manufacture and delivery of cocaine near a school, public housing or a park.

Police say they seized about 12 grams of cocaine worth about $1,200 on the street, as well as more than $2,500 cash and drug equipment.

Neal and Powell were taken to the McLean County Jail.
