NORMAL – Despite lower totals than one year ago, Illinois State University collected more than $525,000 in its Giving Tuesday campaign.
Donors made nearly 1,500 gifts to support scholarships, programs and laboratory schools at ISU.
The university reports nearly 200 fewer gifts this year than in 2016, when donors gave nearly $594,000.
Illinois State began participating in Giving Tuesday four years ago as one of the first universities in the nation to be involved in the day dedicated to generosity.
