NORMAL – OSF Healthcare is breaking ground on a new office in Normal.

Construction has already begun at 1765 Bradford Ln., for whats going to be a primary care and prompt care office. The project is estimated to cost $5 million. It will include 24 exam rooms, services for walk-in treatment, laboratory services, imaging and x-ray services.

“We notice we have a lot of people, a lot of our patients live here in Normal,” said Dr. Richard Ginnetti with the OSF Multi-Specialty Group. “This will be closer, an easier commute for them to get to our facilities. It also will extend our Prompt Care facilities to seven days a week in this location. It will also be easier access for the patients.”

OSF officially breaks ground on the new building on Friday. Their goal is to finish by next summer.

African-Americans have been killed too many times in the past before George Floyd, but the response to this man’s death is international and all-encompassing. I was a grade-schooler during the Civil Rights 1960s. I watched Birmingham demonstrators hosed and the Selma – Montgomery…

Workers’ Memorial Day – Remember those whose job took their life

Looking around our community, when we say employer, most will respond to State Farm, Country, or Illinois State University.   We too often forget those who are building our roads, serving our food, or our public employees. COVID-19 has made us more aware of the risk.  Going to work every day for some people means…
