BLOOMINGTON – State Rep. Dan Brady, R-Bloomington, has announced that he will seek re-election for his seat in the 105th District.
Brady has represented McLean County, large portions of Bloomington-Normal, and parts of Livingston County since 2001.
Brady and his supporters gathered at the Marriott Hotel in Normal on Monday. As WMBD-TV reported, Brady talked about his accomplishments over the last 16 years, both in Springfield and in his district, like education improvements.
“We remodeled classrooms and locker rooms, constructed new buildings, funding for life safety and installed new playground equipment. All of these enhancements of education in our districts help students learn in a safe environment and they put people in jobs,” he told the crowd.
Brady was named Deputy House Minority Leader this year.
Brady is a local funeral director and was elected twice in the 1990s as McLean County Coroner. So far, he has no opposition in his bid for re-election.
