BLOOMINGTON – McLean County prosecutors say police have made a major dent in the local ecstasy market after making three arrests this week.
Police said Wendal Durbin, 24, of Normal was caught red-handed with 331 grams of the drug in a hidden compartment in his car. McLean County Assistant State’s Attorney Jeffrey Horve said Durbin is a major local supplier of ecstasy.
“Three-hundred-thirty grams is a significant amount of ecstasy, over $30,000 worth and a significant dent in the ecstasy trade in McLean County,” Horve said. “Bloomington (Police) did an excellent job investigating this and taking care of getting a major source supplier.”
Police also arrested two Bloomington men, Dennis Davis Jr., 23, and Michael LM Burton, 25, on felony drug charges
Police say they also seized two illegal guns, a bullet proof vest, ammunition and drug-packaging material.
All three men were taken to the McLean County Jail.
