Two arrests made in residential burglary

BLOOMINGTON – Two 18-year-old boys are in custody after they reportedly committed residential burglary in the early hours Wednesday morning.

Austin J. Lilley and Ian O’Neill of Bloomington were allegedly seen wearing backpacks and walking between houses at Country Club Place around 1:30 a.m. Officers arrived on scene and reportedly encountered the two, who fled on foot. Officers gave chase before catching up to them and placing them in custody. Officers also found several items which had been reported as stolen in the area.

Lilley and O’Neill were reportedly taken to the McLean County Jail on premliminary charges of residential burglary.
