Normal police arrest suspect in convenience store hold-up

NORMAL – Normal Police have arrested a man they believe held-up Casey’s General Store at 1301 S. Main St. Tuesday night.

Willis Liverman, 21, of Normal is accused of reaching over the counter when the cash drawer opened and stole an undisclosed amount of money.

No one was hurt, and the suspect did not indicate he had a weapon before he ran away. Police said they found evidence linking Liverman to the crime after searching a residence in the 400 block of W. Vernon Ave. in Normal. Police said the store also had surveillance video.

Liverman faces a burglary and theft charge.
