Illinois Route 10 in DeWitt County reopens following crash

CLINTON – A portion of Illinois Route 10 in Clinton was closed for about seven hours overnight following a two-vehicle crash on Monday night.

The DeWitt County Sheriff’s Office reports multiple people were taken to the hospital while one was airlifted to a nearby hospital. Their conditions are not available.

The crash happened at about 9:40 p.m. Route 10 was closed between Jemima Road and Revere Road in southeast Clinton.

Illinois State Police remains on scene along with Clinton Police and DeWitt County Sheriff’s deputies. No further information is available.

The DeWitt County Sheriff’s Office reports the road was reopened shortly before 5 a.m.
