
NORMAL – Theresa Gentilcore, 90, of Normal, passed away at 1:35 p.m., Friday, July 28, 2017 at Heartland Manorcare in Normal.
Her funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at St. Patrick Church of Merna, Bloomington with Rev. Michael Pica officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Normal. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m., Monday, July 31, 2017 at Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home, Bloomington and from 9:30-10:00 a.m., Tuesday at the church.

Theresa was born January 1, 1927 in Oakfield, N.Y. She married Anthony E. Gentilcore on May 26, 1951 in Auburn, N.Y. He died on December 15, 1996. She is survived by a daughter, Carol (Bill) Fallat of Bloomington, a son, Michael (Kate) Gentilcore of Maryland Heights, MO; seven grandchildren, Kara (Ben) Zimmerman, Joseph (Andrea) Fallat, Megan (Alex) Coile. Anthony (Esterina), Dominic, Eric & Timothy Gentilcore; and three great grandchildren, Anthony and Giana Fallat and Sofia Zimmerman. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Mike, Joseph and Tony Botindari and two sisters, Rose Pitifer and Josephine Botindari.
Theresa was a coordinator at Lu-Char Dress Factory in Auburn, N.Y. for many years before raising her family. Her family will remember her as the most giving and loving woman they knew. With her Italian heritage, she was a wonderful cook and there was always plenty of food in her home no matter who stopped by.
