NORMAL – An undercover sting catches two prominent businesses in Normal selling alcohol to minors, and both establishments are repeat offenders.
The Normal Town Council Monday night, acting as the town’s liquor commission, accepted guilty pleas and $250 fines from Destihl Restaurant and Brew Works at 318 S. Towanda Ave. and the Marriott at 201 Broadway Ave.
Police said they sent minors, younger than 21, to both locations in March and they were able to buy alcohol.
Authorities said it’s the third violation for Destihl and the Marriott.
