BLOOMINGTON – The McLean County Emergency Management Agency is urging you to take precautions to deal with a heat advisory now in place.
The agency said with heat index values approaching 100 degrees, you should drink plenty of water, limit strenuous activity to early or late in the day and take frequent breaks in air conditioned places.
The EMA also suggests checking on elderly family, friends and neighbors, and adds that children and pets should never be left unattended in a vehicle.
