BLOOMINGTON – Bloomington Police say a victim in a weekend shooting downtown is recovering at a local hospital, while police search for leads in the case.
Police were on patrol in the 600 block of North Main Street when they heard a loud pop shortly after 2 a.m. Sunday. Police said they saw a large group of people dispersing.
Officers were dispatched to Advocate BroMenn Medical Center in Normal a short time later for a report of one person shot. Officers located a 34-year-old man with gunshot wounds to his legs. Police said his injuries don’t appear to be life threatening.
No arrests have been made in connection with the shooting.
