NORMAL – A Central Illinois congressman, sharply criticized for not facing constituents in town hall settings, will hold office hours with much smaller groups instead.
A news release says no appointments are necessary to meet with Republican Representative Rodney Davis on Monday from 1 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. at 104 W. North St. in Normal, and Tuesday from 2 p.m. until 3:15 p.m. at his office at 2004 Fox Dr. in Champaign.
Citing office space constraints, no more than three people at a time can meet with Davis, and constituents have up to ten minutes to discuss any issue.
Davis is holding office hours even as he refuses to face questions in town halls, rejecting a recent invitation to speak to Illinois Wesleyan University students.
