Fire damages Bloomington home

BLOOMINGTON – Fire heavily damaged a home being remodeled on Bloomington’s west side this morning.

The Bloomington Fire Department reports finding flames coming from all sides of the house in the 900 block of West Front Street upon arrival after 4:30 a.m. The first crew called for help including Normal firefighters, and the intensity of the fire forced crews to start battling it from outside.

Firefighters determined no one was in the structure. No injuries were reported and a cause has yet to be determined.

Damage is estimated at $100,000.
