BLOOMINGTON – Payless ShoeSource is closing 400 stores as it files for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, but the store in Bloomington’s Eastland Mall is not one of them.
The company recently closed a store on West Market Street in Bloomington.
Payless plans to close 13 locations in Illinois, with the closest one to the Twin Cities located in Hickory Point Mall in Forsyth.
