Pedestrian dies after being struck by car in Clinton

CLINTON – A pedestrian is dead after being struck by a vehicle in Clinton this morning.

Clinton police said they were called at about 6:40 this morning to Route 54 at Washington St. Police reported both the pedestrian and the vehicle were traveling westbound.

The pedestrian was taken to Warner Hospital and pronounced dead. The victim’s identity has not been released.

State police and the DeWitt County coroner’s office are investigating.
