NORMAL – Normal’s Town Council will vote Monday on adopting the budget for the next fiscal year.
City Manager Mark Peterson described the $107 million budget as “status quo.” He said there are “substantial dollars” in the spending plan for infrastructure projects.
“Things like sidewalks, water and sewer,” said Peterson. “We continue to invest a lot in our infrastructure to make sure it’s in good condition.”
Peterson said the town will be looking at its sewer rates this summer and could end up increase their rates. Besides that potential increase, the budget does not include any new taxes or fees.
Also Monday, the council will have a discussion on Bloomington’s vote to unilaterally terminate the Metro Zone agreement.
