Zimmerman hearing deciding whether certain testimony to be allowed

BLOOMINGTON – Accused murderer Kirk Zimmerman was in court Thursday afternoon for a motions hearing which could suppress certain witnesses from giving testimony during his trial.

Zimmerman allegedly shot and killed his ex-wife, Pamela Zimmerman, at her office in November 2014. Earlier Thursday, McLean County Judge Scott Drazewski allowed an objection barring extended media coverage of the witnesses in question during Thursday’s hearing.

One of the witnesses told the judge she had seen Kirk Zimmerman near the scene of the murder.

A jury trial for the case has yet to be scheduled.
