PEORIA – Federal law enforcement officials were at a number of Caterpillar facilities in Peoria Thursday, including the company’s world headquarters.

News partner WMBD reported the officials are executing a search warrant. The federal warrant allows law enforcement to seize any documents related to Caterpiller’s business in Switzerland.

Law enforcement were also outside Caterpillar locations in East Peoria and Morton.

A statement from Cat said it’s cooperating with the investigation.
