PONTIAC – Pontiac’s OSF St. James Medical Center is all clear after officials spent part of Thursday afternoon investigating a suspicious substance that was found on a laundry cart.
Officials said the substance was a fine plastic based substance used inside absorbent pads. The investigation concluded just after 3 p.m.
Pontiac Fire Department Chief Scott Runyong added there was no evacuation of the hospital.
Bloomington hazmat crews were called in to assist the investigation.
