9 displaced by Bloomington fire

BLOOMINGTON – The Red Cross is assisting nine people who were displaced by a fire to their multi-unit home on Wednesday.

Fire crews from Bloomington and Normal were called to a two-story home at 8:12 W. Washington St. at 7:20 p.m.

No injuries were reported. The Red Cross’ disaster response team is providing housing, food, clothing and other support to four adults and five children.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. A damage estimate is not yet known.
