BLOOMINGTON – One of the three candidates for Ward 5 Alderman in Bloomington has dropped out of the race.
Jeffery Fox withdrew his nominating petition Wednesday. The two remaining candidates are Lupe Diaz and incumbent Joni Painter.
Painter has held the seat since being appointed by Mayor Tari Renner in 2014 to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of former Alderman Jennifer McDade.
