CHICAGO – U.S. Rep. Rodney Davis (R-Taylorville) plans to keep his seat on the U.S. House Agriculture Committee.
Davis addressed Illinois farmers participating in the Illinois Farm Bureau’s annual meeting taking place in Chicago.
“I am excited to continue to be a subcommittee chairman and serve at the pleasure of our chairman Mike Conaway to make sure within this new unified Republican government that we have multiple voices form Illinois serving Illinois’ agricultural interests,” he said.
Davis told farmers he’s “excited” about having one political party in control of the White House, the U.S. House and Senate. He added if a balanced budget depended on bargaining congressional office and committee moves underway, it would actually happen.
