BLOOMINGTON – Bloomington Police were busy over the weekend responding to multiple reports of shots fired and an armed robbery at a convenience store.
Police arrested Darvell Williams, 29, on Saturday after several shots were fired into vehicles along East Empire Street. A window at Lowe’s Home Improvement was also hit. Police recovered a semi-automatic pistol from his home. Williams faces a $200,000 bond. He has ben charged with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, possession of a firearm with a defaced serial number and two conts of reckless dischrge of a firearm.
Bloomington Police say a home at 901 W. Olive St. was hit by multiple gunshots at around midnight. No one was injured in their shooting. Police say they don’t have any suspect information.
Then at 2:45 a.m., police say a suspect robbed the Circle K at 1210 W. Market St. at gunpoint. No shots were fired and no one was injured. Police say the suspect is described as a black man, thin built, wearing all dark clothing and a face mask. Police are reviewing store surveillance video to get a more detailed description.
