McLean County Coroner investigates stabbing death

BLOOMINGTON – McLean County Coroner Kathy Davis said a Bloomington man died early Sunday following a stabbing.

Davis said Mark Mellor, 31, was pronounced dead at 12:15 a.m. at the Advocate BroMenn Medical Center emergency room. Mellor died of a stab wound to the chest, according to Davis.

She added toxicology results are pending and that the incident remains under investigation by the coroner’s office, Woodford County Sheriff’s Department and Illinois State Police.
