Larry J. Steinman Jr., 52, Cropsey, died Aug. 2 at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at South Graceland Cemetery, Fairbury. Visitation will be 11:00 am to 12:45 p.m. Tuesday at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury. The family suggests memorials be given to the charity of the donor’s choice.
Larry was born Dec. 12, 1963 in Pontiac the son of Larry J. and Rosemary Matern Steinman.
Survivors include his mother, Rosemary Matern, LaPlace, Louisiana; one sister, Dixie (Doug) Steidinger, Fairbury; three nieces, Rachael Slagel, Ellen Dehm and Anna Stoller; and three nephews, Connor, Owen and Trey Steidinger.
He is preceded in death by his step father who raised him, Jerry Fosdick, maternal grandparents, Edward and Anna Matern, Ivan and Edith Fosdick, and Norma Norris.
Larry attended Fairbury-Cropsey High School. He formerly was employed at Illinois Wesleyan University’s dietary department and currently at Advocate BroMenn Medical Center, Normal in the environmental services department.
His hobbies included fishing and playing video games.
