Peoria, IL – The Peoria Chiefs and Quad Cities River Bandits game scheduled for Friday has been rained out. The two teams will play a double header on Saturday at 5:00 p.m. with two seven inning games. The Homer Olympic bobblehead giveaway scheduled for Friday has been postponed to Wednesday, August 17 as the Chiefs host Cedar Rapids at 7:00 p.m.
The Chiefs will start RHP Jorge Rodriguez (2-1, 2.74) in game one and LHP John Kilichowski (1-1, 2.77) in game two on Saturday while Quad Cities is expected to start LHP Framber Valdez (1-0, 3.27) and RHP Hector Perez (0-0, 4.51).
There will be a post-game Fireworks show presented by CEFCU and the first 1000 fans 13 and over get an outdoor camo hat presented by Presleys Outdoors. The broadcast can be heard, starting with the Pre-Game Show at 4:45 p.m. on www.peoriachiefs.com/listenlive which also has downloads for a free app on the iPhone, iPad, Blackberry and Android.
