NORMAL- Police have arrested two people after they made a bomb threat to Illinois State University.
Police say Bryan and Johanna Perschall called in the threat to cause a diversion, and made subsequent plans to commit several bank robberies across Bloomington-Normal.
Illinois State University Police, along with Illinois State Police Task Force Six assisted in the arrests. Chief Aaron Woodruff, in a news release commended the work of the officers and investigators involved stating, “While the credibility of the bomb threat was low, thanks to the fast response and hard work of our officers, detectives, and the assistance of the Illinois State Police Task Force 6, the entire community is safer.”
