Edmonia Banks, 75, of Bloomington, passed away at 9:40 p.m. on June 10 at Advocate BroMenn Medical Center in Normal.
Her funeral service will be at 12:00 p.m. on Friday at Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial Home in Bloomington with Rev. Frank L. McSwain, Sr. officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the memorial home.
Interment will be at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Bloomington. Memorials may be made to Fresenius Kidney Care in Bloomington.
Edmonia was born on Sep. 15, 1940 in Tennessee, a daughter to Charlie and Mahailey Ross Banks.
Surviving is her son, Bernard Banks of Bloomington; three brothers, James (Cheryl) Banks of Bloomington, Linnie Banks of Chicago and Larry (Carolyn) Banks of Madison, Wis.
She was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters and two brothers.
Edmonia was employed at State Farm Insurance for many years, retiring in 1999.
She enjoyed playing bingo, taking walks, reading, doing puzzles, and spending time with her family. Edmonia was truly loved and will be greatly missed.
