BLOOMINGTON – Three years after the killing of a Bloomington woman in a case that remains unsolved, police are asking for help for any clue in the murder investigation of Haileigh Eichhorn.
“It is the three-year anniversary and the Bloomington Police Department continues to actively pursue all leads in the ongoing homicide investigation,” Bloomington Police spokeswoman Sara Mayer said. “The investigation is considered ongoing. We are still asking the public for more information.”
Eichhorn, 26, was last seen alive on April 28, 2013. She was found dead in rural Stanford nine days later on May 7. Police haven’t made any arrests.
“Maybe someone has some information they don’t know if it might be relevant or not,” Mayer said. “We still ask that you contact us with that information. You never know what piece could be crucial in an investigation.”
Mayer wouldn’t say if there have been any recent developments in the case, citing the ongoing investigation.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Bloomington Police detective Matthew Dick, (309) 434-2475, [email protected], or detective John Heinlen, (309) 434-2672, [email protected].
If you wish to remain anonymous, call Crimes Stoppers of McLean County at (309) 828-1111. If your call leads to the arrest and indictment of a suspect or suspects, you may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
