Vieda Daniels
Vieda Lee Daniels, 69, Fairbury, died at 3:52 p.m. March 13 at her residence, Fairbury.
Private inurnment will take place in Ridgeland Twp. Cemetery, Thawville. Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Daniels was born Oct.17, 1946 in Chicago the daughter of Raymond and Evelyn Swick Cieslinski. She was to married Albert Daniels. He died on July 26, 2000.
Surviving are three sisters, Suzanne Wlodarczyk, Lemont, Alexis (William) Igras, Mt. Pleasant, S.C., and Evelyn (Greg) Blackwell, Dublin, Ohio, and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents and one brother.

Ellen Retter
Ellen M. “Ellie” Retter, 72, Fairbury, died at 4:43 a.m. March 13 at Fairview Haven Retirement Community, Fairbury.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the Trinity Lutheran Church, Fairbury with Pastor Tom Krieger officiating. Private inurnment will be in Graceland Cemetery, Fairbury.
Visitation will be 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. Saturday at the church. Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury is in charge of arrangements. The family suggests memorials be given to Fairview Haven Retirement Community or Trinity Lutheran Church, both of Fairbury.
Ellen was born April 10, 1943 in Bloomington, IL the daughter of Walter H. and Anna Marie Landau Retter.
Surviving are two brothers, Louis W. (Betty) Retter, Fairbury, Ray O. (Lanni) Retter, Goshen, Ind. and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
Ellen was a 1961 graduate of Fairbury-Cropsey High School. She operated a children’s daycare in her home for several years. She later worked in the dietary and laundry departments at Fairview Haven Retirement Community until her retirement in 2014. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, Fairbury.
