Casey M. Stockum, 44, of Normal, passed away at her residence on Feb. 7.
Her Celebration of Life will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday at Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial Home in Bloomington with Stephen Gerard officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the start of the service on Saturday at the memorial home. Cremation rites have been accorded.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Casey’s name to the McLean County Animal Control Shelter, the Miracle League of Central Illinois, or The Humane Society of Central Illinois.
Casey was born on Nov. 22, 1971 in Wichita Falls, Texas, a daughter of Michael R. and Sherryll L. Purkey Stockum. She married Peg Donaldson on July 17, 2011 in Bloomington. She survives in Normal.
Surviving are her parents, Mike and Sherry Stockum of Normal; a brother, Garrett M. (Brenda) Stockum of El Paso; a step-daughter, Devon (Adam) Martin of Bloomington; a step-son, Don Donaldson of Bloomington; two nieces, Elizabeth and Laura Stockum of El Paso and her aunt, Sarah (Herman) Dick of Bloomington.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Floy (Jerry) Shoemaker and Elmond Purkey and paternal grandparents, Howard and Dorothy Stockum.
Casey was a graduate of Trinity Lutheran Elementary School and Normal Community High School. Casey owned her own company, CMS Painting for many years and was currently working as a Realtor at Berkshire Hathaway Home Services Snyder Real Estate.
Casey was an intelligent, caring, creative, compassionate, fun loving and energetic woman. She loved all of her four legged children, her nieces, Elizabeth and Laura, her family and many friends. She was an honorable and loving lady who will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
