BLOOMINGTON – Andy Stempel scored a career-high 24 points to lead Illinois Wesleyan to its first College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin victory, 82-66, over Wheaton at Shirk Center.
The Titans (7-6, 1-1 in CCIW) also got 18 points from Bryce Dolan and 13 points, 10 rebounds from Ryan Coyle.

Stempel connected on three first-half three-pointers as IWU opened an early 17-6 lead the Titans never relinquished. The Thunder (4-9, 0-2) chipped the lead to 39-33 at halftime.
IWU opened the second half with back-to-back threes from Bryce Dolan and Coyle to restore a double-digit lead.
Michael Berg led the Thunder with 22 points and 11 rebounds.
Wesleyan won in its first game at Shirk Center since December 5. The Titans went 2-4 during a month-long road trip.
IWU will host Carthage on Saturday.
