UPDATE: Body found in Lake Evergreen

HUDSON – McLean County Coroner Kathy Davis has confirmed the death of a man who was found in a vehicle that was submerged in Lake Evergreen on Tuesday.

At 12:14 p.m., McLean County Coroner’s Office received notification of a vehicle located in Lake Evergreen at 12676 East 2500 North Road. The McLean County Sheriff’s Department, Hudson Fire Department and the Hudson Dive Team were already on scene.

Patrick M. McCurdy, 37, of Peoria and formerly of Minonk, was pronounced dead at 1:31 p.m. McCurdy was the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle and was wearing his seat belt. Preliminary autopsy findings indicate McCurdy died due to drowning. Toxicology testing is pending.

This incident remains under investigation by the McLean County Coroner’s Office and the McLean County Sheriff’s Department.
