BLOOMINGTON – Illinois Wesleyan senior cornerback Tyrell Bolden has been selected to the first team of the 11th annual D3football.com All-North Region Team.
Bolden, a first team all-College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin honoree, finished the year with 28 total tackles, including 23 solo. He made two interceptions for six return yards. He forced one fumble and had two tackles for losses totaling -10 yards.
Bolden, who was first team all-CCIW in 2013 and second team in 2012, finished his career ranked No. 7 all-time at the school with 42 punt returns and No. 10 with 352 punt return yards. His 10 career interceptions is tied for 13th most in IWU records.
A business administration major at Illinois Wesleyan, he is the son of Tyronne Bolden and Felicia Green.
Players were nominated by the sports information directors at the schools with a record 1,028 players nominated in 2015. All-Region teams were selected in balloting by sports information directors in each region and D3football.com staff. All players nominated for All-Region are eligible to be considered for the D3football.com All-America Team.
