BLOOMINGTON – The murder trial of a man accused in the beating death of a homeless veteran last summer is now in the hands of the jury.
Anothony Davis-Dickson is accused of beating Ronald Smith in O’Neil Park in Bloomington in June 2014. Smith later died from his injuries.
Two others, Tory Washington and Willie Chambers, have each pleaded guilty to murder; Davis-Dickson is the lone man who has pleaded not guilty.
Smith was a Vietnam war veteran.
