NAPERVILLE – Illinois Wesleyan senior kicker Michael Kelley who became IWU’s all-time point-after kick leader, was named the Special Teams Player of the Week in the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin on Monday..
Kelley finished 7-for-7 on PATs during the Titans’ 49-7 win over Simpson on Saturday. He now has 120 career point after touchdown kicks and is Illinois Wesleyan’s all-time leader, breaking the record of 116 held by Todd Rozboril (1994-97). Kelley is 18-for-18 on PATs this season and 120 of 128 in his career, a .938 percentage. Rozboril was 116 of 144 (.806). Kelley’s 182 career points is No. 6 in IWU history.
A business major at Illinois Wesleyan, Kelley is the son of Mike and Rhonda Kelley.
Augustana senior quarterback was named the CCIW Offensive Player of the Week and Wheaton senior defensive back Wes Cannonier was tabbed as the CCIW Defensive Player of the Week.
