BLOOMINGTON – The event might not be for another two months, but the Baby Fold is already seeking volunteers for the 22nd annual Festival of Trees.
Baby Fold Special Events and Public Relations Coordinator Melissa Engel said it takes about 800 volunteers to make the annual event a success.
“Set up begins Nov. 17 and tear down begins at the end of the day on Sunday, Nov. 22,” said Engel. “We have shifts the entire event all the way through.”
Engel said it’s no uncommon to begin asking for volunteers in September.
“We were a little bit low on volunteers last year and so this is really going to help us fill those sifts,” she said.
